Baking Soda Bread
March 2020
Baking soda bread is a lot easier to make than making normal bread. There is no yeast in it so it doesn’t even need to rise. Plus it tastes better.

350g Granary Flour
285ml Buttermilk
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220C / 200C fan / gas mark 7.
- Mix the flour, salt and baking soda in a bowl.
- Pour in the buttermilk.
- Mix until you have a dough.
- Spread a little flour on baking tray.
- Shape dough into a ball and put on baking tray.
- Cut a deep cross not to the bottom so that it bakes evenly.
- Put the tray in the preheated oven for 30 min.
